We owe a special thanks and a hair flip to all the beauty addicts who attended last night’s #Summerize event we hosted with Schweiger Dermatology at their Clear Clinic location in New York City. The Clear Clinic is a mecca of skincare services, and you better believe we were there to worship. For those of you who didn’t attend, here’s the skinny on what went down (hot summer makeover not included).
Guests were greeted with the help of SkinnyGirl Margarita‘s newest additions: Sweetarita, Sparkling Margarita (a total crowd-pleaser that had one guest raving, and we quote, “I just need a straw to put in the bottle”), as well as the brand’s classic Chardonnay. The night kicked off with free skin consultations by Schweiger Derm, dry hair styling by EVA NYC and makeup touchups by JJI’s and everyone else’s favorite, NARS. Ladies also got to treat their sweet tooth with donuts provided by Doughnut Plant (complete caloric sin but we ain’t complaining), assorted popcorn from SexyPop, and brownies (nom nom nom) from Hot Blondie’s Bakery. All those sweets plus the SkinnyGirl cocktails–we just about broke even, right? 
On the social media front, Nicole Livadas, Community Marketing Coordinator from Schweiger Derm, introduced the crowd to some of Clear Clinic’s staffed PA-C’s and reminded everyone to take a look at Creeds of Love‘s display while hashtagging #summarize to their Twitter and Instagram posts. All taggers were entered for a chance to win a free iPad from GoDerma, services from Schweiger Derm and hair care products from Eva Hair NYC.
And for a bit of an education, Monique Olivares explained different ways to protect your skin from the sun (which is the strongest from 10am-2pm), and drove home the importance of sunscreen in the fight to protect your skin from aging (takeaway: sunscreen’s your best option if you want to keep skin young!). Grace Nguyen shared her insights on popular injectables including Juvaderm and Dysport, and gave us the 411 on the latest laser treatments. Jane MacKinnon also touched on different methods to keep your skin fresh and vibrant, while skin guru Haley Knauer took on the Q and A sesh.
